The Cercle d’Échecs de Bois-Colombes is a historic training club for the French Chess Federation, a pioneer in large-scale chess education in schools and in the organisation of major youth tournaments. To date, its members have won a total of 16 French youth championship titles. Samy Shoker (GMI, 2015 French Blitz Champion), Pauline Guichard (MI, 2018 and 2019 French Champion) and Loïc Travadon (MI, three-time French Youth Champion) were all spotted during workshops held in Bois-Colombes schools before continuing their training at the club’s chess school.
